Living in Richfield all my life, as my dad did, I graduated from Richfield School in 1974. I am married, have three children and eight grand-children. Two of our children and two of our grandchildren have attended Richfield School. Richfield School has been a part of my families’ lives since the early 1920’s, and is very close to my heart. Richfield School is the center of the community, not only for academics, but for community events, and town hall meetings. Growing up in this community is something I would not trade for anything. I was always taught that you give back to the community you live in. Being on the Richfield School Board for the past 15 years is a way for me to do that. It is an honor to be a part of Richfield School. A school that provides an exceptional education in a safe “family” environment, and that helps all students to become responsible, well mannered young adults. All of which would not be possible without the amazing staff we have at Richfield School. My hope is that we can continue to have a “small town school”, as our community and school population grows.

I grew up in Richfield and graduated from Richfield School in 1996 and Corning High in 2000. After serving in the Coast Guard for 6 years, my wife and I thought the best place to raise our son was in Richfield. I joined the board to serve in my community, and wanted to join after my dad left after 16 yrs of being on the board.

Addressing the Board

Government Code provides that every agenda for regular and special meetings must provide an opportunity for members of the public to address the Board on items of interest to the public that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Board. No action shall be taken on any item not appearing on the agenda unless it is a continued matter or the board finds, by a two-thirds vote, that the need to take action arose and came to its attention subsequent to the posting of the meeting agenda. The public may address the Board during the agenda item “Audience with Groups and/or Individuals” or during the Board’s consideration of an item on the agenda. The President of the Board may regulate the length of public comments.
